Lip Augmentation

Lips are composed of thin, delicate skin and fatty tissues. Genetics, aging and other factors impact the shape and fullness of your lips. Aging is also a factor that changes the appearance of lips, as fat can dissipate in the lips, resulting in thinner, wrinkled lips. Various lip augmentation procedures exist in large numbers but the use of injectable fillers seem to be the most common procedure these days. At Frederick Street Dental Care, our practitioner Dr Rania offers solutions to change the fullness of your lips and enhancement to help you to achieve the lip size you desire.

How does it work?

Soft, fuller and plump lips enhance your smile and create an attractive balance to your facial features. Hyaluronic acid fillers for lips are mainly used to improve water retention and consequently, the volume of the lips. They are injected directly into the lips and also in the neighbouring area around the mouth.

How do I know if I am qualified for lip augmentation treatments?

Before any treatment, our practitioner will consult with you about your desires and needs.  Once the consultation has taken place the clinician will make a recommendation based on their assessment and advise if the lip augmentation is the route to take.

How long does the procedure takes?

The procedure takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes depending on how many injection sites are needed. Once the consultation has taken place the clinician will make a recommendation based on their assessment. Furthermore, all cosmetic consultations are free of charge

How long do the effects last?

The longevity varies, but usually the results after the lip injections last between 6 to 8 months. This period also depends on the substance injected. You should talk with Dr Rania about how long the injection is expected to last and when you need to come back for maintenance injections.
