Dr Muhammad Arshad

Principal Dentist

Muhammad graduated in 2002 and was awarded Licentiate in Dental Surgery by The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012 by extensive training and examinations. Muhammad’s area of special interest is restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Away from clinic, Muhammad enjoys travelling, photography, football and the gym.

Aman is our specialist orthodontist. He graduated with BDS (Hons) from University College Cork, Ireland in 2004. He worked in General Dental Practice and Senior House Officer Posts in OMFS, Oral Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine. Following this, he undertook specialty training in orthodontics from 2011-2014 at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and graduated with an MSc in Orthodontics from King’s College London in 2014. He undertook further training at the Edinburgh Dental Institute between 2014-2016 and has been in the post of Consultant/Honorary Senior Lecturer (University of Edinburgh) since December 2016

Aman has lectured both in the UK and abroad and is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society. He is actively involved in teaching and training and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He provides treatment for both children and adults with the use of aesthetic appliances

Miss Eleni Besi

Eleni graduated with DDS from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2010. She completed her foundation training (Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) in 2011 at East Sussex and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and following this she was appointed as a speciality dentist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the same trust 2011-2015.

During 2011-2015 she successfully completed an MSc in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a PGCert in Implantology at Eastman Dental Institute, UCL.In 2015 she gained her specialty training post in Oral Surgery at Edinburgh Dental Institute, (2015-2018), and since March 2019 was appointed as a Consultant Oral Surgeon at the same institute.

Eleni enjoys teaching and training all aspect of oral surgery to postgraduate trainees at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. She is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and she is currently working towards the completion of her Doctoral degree in stem cell research. Eleni provides all the range of oral surgery procedures for both children and adults.

Dr Wadood Ur Rehman (BDS)

Wadood is a general dentist and is very valuable member of our team. Wadood qualified in 2011, holds a wealth of experience and was awarded a post graduate Diploma in general dentistry from Queen Mary University London in 2014. Wadood’s area of special interest is Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment). Away from dentistry, Wadood enjoys cycling, football, cricket and squash.

Sharon Dunthorne

She worked as a dental nurse for 6 years before she trained to be a dental hygienist. She could appreciate the importance of prevention in dentistry and became interested in the role of a hygienist.She studied at Edinburgh Dental Institute and qualified in 2005. Since then she has worked in practice and Edinburgh Dental Institute, this gave her the experience to provide a range of care from recognising potential problems and acting at an early stage to providing more specialist care. She also works as a hygiene tutor and supervise students on clinic.
She enjoys camping, walking, music festivals, sewing and crafts.

Lauren (Dental Nurse)

Lauren loves her job and dentistry. She is always ready to help nervous patients and make them relax. Away from work, Lauren likes horse riding, movies and video games.

Rachael (Dental Nurse)

Rachael is a very valuable member of our team. She likes all aspects of dentistry.In her spare time, she enjoys going to the cinema and spending time with family and friends.
